April

April was a whole lot of craziness. We started out the month with illness.  The kids had been off and on sick all of March and the last GI virus hit Peyton and me HARD.  It. Was. HORRIBLE. And to top it off, Chad headed west for a job interview in Reno in the midst of the illness.  I am so grateful he gave me a blessing the night before he left.  I was able to function and take care of the kids while he was gone.  

We were blessed that no one else got the illness and we were able to proceed with life.  Avery started dance class and Chad and I got ready for a trip to FL for the Mid America Orthopedic conference.  Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Steve came to Minnesota to watch our kids so Chad and I could have some much needed time away.  We had a fantastic time!

Chad was home for just a week after we got home from FL before he headed off to San Diego to study for boards.  While he was gone, the kids and I took advantage of the nice weather and Peyton and Avery went to the dentist for the first time. Unfortunately the warm weather didn't last long. High temperatures dropped back down into the 40's but we ventured to Owatonna to the outlets where the kids geared up for summer by purchasing flipflops and new shades. (I think we're all looking forward to the warmth of North Carolina!)
