February 2016

February is too far gone for me to really remember what we did or things that went on that don't have a picture.  One thing I am able to recall was my first car accident.  It was a pretty icy morning and the kids and I were headed to the grocery store.  We were just about to turn out onto the street when someone slid into us.  We were all totally fine, Landry slept through the whole thing!  I honestly didn't know what to do though and of course, I couldn't get a hold of Chad.  No damage was done so we went on our way.  I was a little shaken by the experience despite its minority.  I was grateful it wasn't a worse scenario and that all my babies were safe.  I was also grateful for answered prayers. That morning, Avery said the breakfast prayer.  She usually mumbles the same things.  On this particular morning I was prompted to help her say the prayer, asking for safety.  I'm grateful God is in the details of our lives.

Here's our February in pictures...

Happy Valentine's Day
Our friends threw a little Valentine's Day party for the kids.  It was really cute.  Peyton couldn't be bothered for a picture though. :(

Peyton went through or is going throw this phase where he says "I'm hot" when he gets upset. So on this particular day we sent him outside.  It was -6* outside.

Daddy and Landry are twins!!!

Peyton went through a showering phase and Avery felt a little bummed to be in the tub by herself.

PEYTON'S SPECIAL DAY
Peyton's preschool does a special day for their birthday/half birthday.  Peyton couldn't wait to have his special day.  He got to be the Star Helper and the line leader.  He got to blow out the pretend candles bring in things that he loves.  He brought The Book With No Pictures for Dad to read to the class and his "Baby Block"-a block we made for Chad for Father's Day when Peyton was 1.  His special day even landed on PJ and pancake day and both Mom and Dad got to come to school for the whole class! He was so so happy.  What a blessing Bethany Nursery School has been to our family.

Peyton drew me this sun.  Isn't it cute?!

Mom got a new hair do and Peyton wanted to take some pictures. ha
