Ortho Graduation & Roast

To say that I am proud of Chad would be an understatement.  He's completely incredible at his profession.  He works so hard and doesn't complain and is always excited to be with his family at the end of even the longest days.  This year we were invited to the graduation ceremony that is usually only only attended by the graduating class, fellows and faculty.  Chad won an award for one of his many research papers.  His hard work paid off!

The next day we attended the Farewell Dinner and Roast.  Each year the graduating residents get roasted by the junior that worked with them on the trauma service.  It is a night of good fun, food, humor and some resident voted awards.  One award is called the "Funk Me" Award.  It is usually given to a 3rd year resident who has the worst year of rotations.  However, Chad, a 4 , was selected this year.  Though he really didn't complain too much, Chad had a really crummy, non-operative year of rotations.  In year 5 Chad is looking forward to operating and I am looking forward to a happier husband.  Congrats on your two awards Dr. Watts.  We're super proud of you.
