Visit to Dr. Dad
We paid our first visit to Dr. Dad yesterday. We were at the park. It was the final slide before heading home. Peyton slipped and went down hard. I knew it was bad when P kept saying "it hurts so bad! It hurts so bad." I took a look at the wound and sure enough it was gaping. This was my first rodeo when it comes to determining whether stitches were required or not. Our good friends live right by the park so we stopped in so the doc of the home could take a look and he referred us to Dad-and they graciously kept Avery.
Peyton screamed all the way to the hospital. Poor thing. But as soon as he saw Chad, he was better.
Because the wound was under his chin and "no one will ever see it" Chad decided to just Steri-strip it. Peyton loved Daddy's yellow q-tip. It was his favorite part. Turns out iodine tickles. And P was so adorable. As Chad was fixing him up he kept saying "oh thank you Dad. Thank you dad for fixing my face".
Chad has been the talk of the house today. And after this experience Peyton wants to be a doctor when he grows up, just like Dad so he can help people too.
He's also pretty proud of his Band-Aid beard. His big beard is hiding in his face now and will come out when he gets older...so I'm told.
