Halloween 2014
I loved Halloween this year! Peyton and Avery were super into it. We watched Halloween movies, ate lots of treats, put up our decorations, made crafts; we went all out. One of our favorite things to do was drive around and walk the neighborhood looking at all of the decorations including the dancing tree, mummy door, bones and Halloween cat. I was even surprised that Peyton wanted to dress up for Halloween. I owe it all to our neighbors who had a ginormous blow up spider in their front yard-the décor favorite. At first P was a little wary of it but after about a week he became obsessed with spiders or "itsy-bitsy's". {Ironic right?!} He told me that was what he was going to be for Halloween and he loved every minute of it. Avery just loves to dress up regardless of what she is wearing, so I couldn't resist when I saw a super cute DIY toddler ghost costume on Pinterest.
P & Aves were not quite ready for Trick or Treating so we lived it up at Trunk or Treat. They had games and the kids got to trick or treat from car to car. We got plenty of candy and they had a blast. Even Daddy got to join us! Even though he was on call, he was able to sneak away between cases to take part in our family's Halloween celebration. On the 31st we had a special spider donut breakfast and mummy finger lunch. Then we finally carved our pumpkins, visited Verla, went Trick or Treating at the mall, and went to a small Halloween party thrown by one of the docs Chad works with. It was awesome. Can't wait until next Halloween!

Avery kept getting things for me to put on her out of the Halloween box.
As much cooperation as I could get. Note to self: Don't give the children a treat in their bag before attempting to take a picture.
Love this happy spidey: He insisted on standing under the tree.
