Crackers
I need to get back to recording the little things of every day life so I'm starting with this little story.
Yesterday the kids and I went to visit my friend Verla. We have been visiting her since Peyton was about 6 months old. I guess he feels comfortable there. She has kind of become our grandma away from our grandmas. Anyway, we got to her house and Peyton went right to where the toys were. She has a couple big trucks and he was driving them like a madman. I asked him to slow down a bit. He just kept yelling at me. He was so belligerent! Thankfully Verla had to take a phone call which gave me time to really give P a talking to. When Verla returned she brought the kids some animal cookies. Avery was loving them and Peyton said, "I don't want those! I want different crackers!" He proceeded to go upstairs on his own. And we followed. Peyton kept on the cracker thing, would not let it go. I told him if he wasn't interested in the animal crackers we could have a snack when we got home. Peyton then went into the kitchen looking all around and said, "I want different crackers! I don't know where the crackers are in this place!" It was a terrible situation but man, I love that kid. He cracks me up! Needless to say Verla was very understanding and we cut our visit short.
