3 Year Old

It is so hard for me to comprehend that Peyton is 3!! He is such a blessing in our family though he does give us a run for our money.  This little man came with a big personality and he continues to surprise us every day.

For Peyton's birthday this year we were in Nevada.  I don't think we really thought about Peyton's birthday when making our summer travel arrangements.  I felt bad that Chad wouldn't be able to share in Peyton's birthday but it ended up working out.  Poor Chadley ended up being in the OR until about 10pm and wouldn't have been able to celebrate the day with us anyway.  Chad was able to slip out of the OR for a few minutes to call Peyton and wish him a happy birthday and we were able to Facetime him the next day.

Though we couldn't have Dad, we were grateful to be surrounded by family.  We started off the day with a HUGE birthday donut thanks to Grandma Debbie  and black balloons {Peyton's choice} Then we hit Scheel's for a ride on the "ferris" and bowling.  Next, Peyton picked Jack In The Box Chicken Nuggets and In 'n' Out Milkshake for lunch and then it was time for naps and swimming in the backyard with "pop-cycles".  When Grandpa Steve got home from work we had dinner and Peyton sang everyone at the table their very own happy birthday song.  We ended the evening with cupcakes and ice cream with Grandma and Grandpa Vos.  Peyton had an awesome day and couldn't get enough of the fact that it was his special day.

This is what happens when you ask Peyton to sit up and smile nice for a picture ;)

We had to hide the cupcakes!

Peyton was disappointed the "fires" weren't working.  It was too windy.

P got a bubble gun for his bday and thought it was great!

I love how Avery is in the back just doing her own thing, not caring at all about the doughnut!
