Avery Kay

 

Nicknames: Avers, A-rie, Miss Neighbors

Stats: We'll know after her Dr.'s appointment in July when we get back from Baltimore but she is unofficially 19.5 lbs.

 

@ 12 months Avery...

is an eater!  She loves everything, salty, sweet and in between...except for bananas.

favorite foods include pizza, peas, spaghetti, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches

initiates games of peek-a-boo

adores her brother and loves to torment him by stealing his puppies and maliciously laughing while running away

likes to look at book but doesn't have much of an attention span to be read to

loves to dance

has many talents-gives high fives, can show you where her hair is, claps her hands and waves

takes a small nap when we're on the go in the mornings and a nice long afternoon nap, but still doesn't sleep through the night...poor Mommy

is a pro walker and is even thinking about running

likes to go to the park and tries to climb everything

is very accident prone-she always had bruises on her head from bumping into walls and falling into things.  She even had the table tip over on her!  Oh boy...that was scary!

is super friendly and happy but mischevious

is into everything!! She has discovered drawers, cupboards and even the "toilet button"

likes to put toys into boxes...I'm going to have to watch this girl closely!

Avery's Birthday...

I was feeling sad in the days leading up to Avery's birthday because I threw a huge party for Peyton's first birthday complete with homemade decorations, pictures, invitations and lots of friends and I wasn't going to be able to give the same to Avery.  However, we got to have family for Avery's birthday and what could be better.  Sara and the boys were able to come down for the day.  We spent the morning at  The National Aquarium and then had pizza for lunch and of course, cake!  Avery loved it, although she didn't get as messy as I expected her to.  It was an awesome day for an amazing little lady!
