October 2013
It's November 11 and I am just now sitting down to write about October. I feel like I don't even remember October now. I guess the pictures will have to do most of the talking.
Peyton "in the dark"-a daily occurance
I rolled over, no biggie.
Chad was post-call and obviously in the post-call coma. Avery joined in. Like father, like daughter.
Fall Walk
On General Conference Saturday, Chad was actually home! He didn't even have to round. We decided to take a walk in the drizzling rain. It was cold but so fun to be outside with the family. Peyton loved the leaves. he would get so upset when leaves fell off the stem. He asked us to put it back on. It was very traumatic. ;)
On morning Peyton woke up at 4:50am. Usually I can convince him to go back to sleep. On this particular day though, I couldn't. At least we got to see this beautiful sunrise.
Fire Safety Week
October in Rochester means Fire Safety week. We got to go down to the fire station and check things out. Unfortunately we got there right in time to see the fire truck leave on a call. Peyton was next to get up in the truck. But it was fun to see it up close! It was also a rare night when Chad could come with us!
Driving the water truck
Peyton didn't like his hat until Avery was wearing hers. Typical.
Enjoying final warm moments at the truck park
Date with my little man, watching Jake & The Neverland Pirates
(Daddy was working a HS football game)
Apple Ridge
One Saturday we took the kids up to Apple Ridge Orchard. It was so much fun. We got to walk through a corn maze, hold kitties, ride on a wagon pulled by a tractor, see Alpacas, and of course pick delicious apples. This was our first orchard experience and I'm pretty sure it will not be our last.
Pictures with Peyton are always a success...NOT.
"Daddy shave beard?"
Does Mommy have a beard..."Ahh, no!"
Avery found her toes!
Bundled up for a walk
Mommy made Cinnamon rolls and Peyton made a flour waterfall.
Peyton doing one of his chores. His job is to empty out all the plastic dishes out of the dishwasher. He's a great helper.
Peyton was pretty obsessed with his headphones one day. He "needed" to wear them to Hobby Lobby.
One day I was making cookies and talking on the phone and I turned around to find Peyton with a measuring cup, dumping rice all over the floor. I decided to give him Tupperware to fill up instead of getting mad. He had a great time.
Avery ate her first cereal this month...
...and Peyton had to have some too. I was too late capturing the moment.
