September Part 2
In the middle of September Uncle Robert came to MN for work. Chad and Peyton went up to The Cities to see him. They went out to lunch, went to the zoo and Peyton got to jump on the bed in Uncle Rob's hotel room. The trip was a success and a hit. Unfortunately Avery and I didn't get to go. I was pretty bummed. The day before Chad was post-call so we took the kids to the park. I was totally fine and then out of the blue I got hit with major chills, body aches and eventually a fever. I was literally in bed for 2 days. It was truly a blessing that Chad was home. He took care of all the kids needs and kept them away from the bedroom so I could rest. No one else in the family got my bug...thank goodness.

The floor tastes so good!
Peyton was so proud of himself for putting himself right in the middle of my camera and Avery.
This kid loves to read books. We resumed our library trips in September and checked out a few new favorites including "Grumpy Gloria" and "Diggers" aka Work all Day
Licking the peanut butter spoon
Little monsters helping make Monster Bars--Peyton loves to "Have a bite".
One day Chad came home from work and asked me what I thought about him taking up bow hunting. I said, you need to try it first, when are you going to have time to go in your life right now and where are you going to get the money? The next day his "friend" asked him how he bow hunting conversation went. Chad said it was short. Basically I crushed his hopes and dreams. But he did have the chance to try it out...if you call sitting in a tree for 5 hours without shooting a single arrow trying it out. He had a blast though. It was great to see him get excited about washing off his human scent and you know he must have been really happy if he snapped of picture of himself. So here is Chad the Bow Hunter.
Story: Peyton got some gift cards for his birthday so we headed to Target so he could pick out a car/truck/plane, whatever he decided. He loves Monster Trucks and he picked a red one. He loves the thing. But when we walked in the door after being a the store he said, "Green monster truck?" He was sad. I told him maybe Santa would bring the green monster truck, thinking it would pacify him and he would move on. Boy was I wrong. He asks me daily, "Santa bring green monster truck?" So in an attempt to show him how long until Santa comes, we made a Christmas countdown chain. We made it with 90 days until Christmas.
Story #2: Peyton and I had a rough patch that lasted about 4 days. I'm not quite sure how we made it through and I don't really remember taking care of Avery...she was just kind of there. I have never been so angry, mean, exhausted, overwhelmed, and sad in my life! Peyton was mean, defiant, tired and teething. Mix it all together and we had 3 days of no naps. Daddy wasn't home much that week either. I had to carry him kicking and screaming from the doctors office and we had an awesome tantrum in Target. I would have left but it was the only time I could go. The cashier didn't say a word to me. It was so embarrassing but I kept my cool. I have learned that Peyton is an awesome kid and he's really only "bad" when there's some sort of factor. It was just a rough week but we are all alive...surprisingly. ;)
