Duluth, MN

We spent August 5-8 in Duluth, MN.  It's about 3 1/2 hours away and right on the North Shore of Lake Superior.  Duluth is so beautiful! We had a blast!

The first day we drove and the kids were so good in the car.  I am so glad that we invested in a portable DVD player!  When we got to Duluth we went to Canal Park and watched the Aerial Lift Bridge go up and down and the ships pass through.  Peyton loved the bridge and still talks about it every day.

We also went to Goose Berry Falls Stat Park where we took a beautiful walk and saw the waterfall.  All Peyton wanted to do was climb the rocks and unfortunately we ad to take him away from the falls kicking.  We also drove up a little further and saw the Split Rock Lighthouse.  Peyton fell asleep right as we got to the lighthouse so we just snapped a few pictures and went on our way.

We also enjoyed a boat ride around the lake, a train ride through Duluth and played at the Aquarium.  Peyton especially loved swimming at the hotel. Watts Family Vacation 2013 was a success!

Chad made me come out from under the bridge while it was coming down.  He actually thought it was going to crush me.  Ahh...he does care! ;)

TRAIN RIDE

Peyton and I went on the upper deck.  He was so excited.  I couldn't get him to hold still while Dad snapped a picture.
