Birthday 2!

I cannot believe that my little man is  2!  Time is going way too fast.  I love watching Peyton grow, learn and discover the world but I also wish I could make time stand still. I wish he could be young, carefree and innocent forever.  He teaches me daily that the little things in life make us the most happy.  He also makes me smile and laugh everyday.  He's just an awesome kid.  I feel so blessed that he is ours.

Peyton was so excited for his birthday!  He kept saying "Birthday 2!".  We would ask him how old he was going to be and he would answer, "Birthday 2!"-while holding up 5 fingers.  He had a great day!

We started the morning off with chocolate muffins, then headed off to the doctor.  I don't know why I scheduled his doctor's appointment on his birthday!  How mean!  He was so scared.  The nurse couldn't even get his height standing up.  We had to lay him on the baby table.  Then he kept telling the NP "I nervous".  Sad!  (She actually said she couldn't remember a 2 year old being able to tell her they were nervous.)  But he was brave and only cried for a minute after his shot.  He even ripped off his own Band-Aid simply because he didn't want it on.

After the doctors appointment we headed over to our friend's house for a little back yard splash time.  Peyton loves the water so it was a perfect way to spend the day!   Then Daddy got home early (2:30!), we opened presents and then headed to Wendy's for a birthday dinner of chicken nuggets, "sticks" and a treat-aka Frosty.  And we ended the evening with a family walk-one of Peyton's most favorite things to do.

"Cants" aka pants

Avery was around too!
