Zoos (April Part 2)

Spring finally made it to Minnesota (for a minute!).  We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and Chad's weekend off for a trip to The Cities. First we headed to Como Zoo in St. Paul.  Peyton loved seeing the animals.  He made monkey sounds almost the entire trip!  We saw giraffes, zebras, penguins, primates, a lion, tigers,  a polar bear and many other animals.  However, Peyton was more interested in pushing the stroller than the animals.  Why were we not surprised.  I am excited to go back and I think we'll ditch the stroller next time.
Next, we headed over to Ikea.  I think this is the first time we have actually bought something of significance. We got a few night stands to act as a dresser for the kids and we a TV stand.  We also got P a little table.  We were so confused getting our stuff! Who knew you had to get body, drawers, and drawer faces all separate!?  And as soon as we got home, Chad got to work putting the furniture together and Peyton helped!  He sure does love to help his Daddy work!

Since Peyton loved seeing the animals so much, P and I met up with some friends at our local Oxbow Zoo.  He liked seeing the animals but enjoyed climbing on fences and rocks more.  He is a boy through and through.  I was surprised though, that Peyton loved feeding the goat.  He kept trying to feed the goat bark and wood chips.  It was too cute.  Hopefully Spring will stick around for good pretty soon.
