Reno 2013
March 16-23 was spent in Reno, NV. It was so nice to get away from the dreadful MN winter into the beautiful Spring of NV. Chad even got to come this time. I was planning to go to NV this time of year anyway and it happened to fall in a block where Chad could take time off. I am so glad he got to spend a whole week with us. I don't know how I would have made the flight alone with a wiggly 18 monther and a big belly!
Peyton did great on the flights. He loved looking out the window at the clouds and when we had layovers he loved to watch the trucks and airplanes. He even took a couple good naps on our flights and got to drink his very own Sprite.
Despite the beautiful weather, shopping, and great food, the best part of going to NV is seeing family & friends. We kicked off our stay with dinner at Great-Grandma's house with my sister Stacey and her family.

Peyton's favorite parts of the trip included playing outside, digging in the dirt, driving lots of trucks, eating at his own little table and going down big slides. One day, Chad and I took Peyton to Jump Man Jump. We have attempted our blow-up play place in Rochester but he hated it. But he loved going to Jump Man Jump and sliding and jumping with Daddy. He even did some of the big slides all by himself. He would always come up asking for more.
One of my very favorite places to eat in NV is In 'N' Out Burger. Oh how I miss it! Peyton had his very first milk shake at In 'N' Out and LOVED it!
One of the best things about Reno is its proximity to Lake Tahoe. Chad and I would often go up to Tahoe to drive around and then have lunch somewhere. That's exactly what we did. Mom & Dad treated us to lunch at Chevy's too :)
Peyton was a great sleeper in NV. I was really worried because this past summer was disastrous in the sleep department. We never had to fight him to get in his Pack 'n' Play for naps or bed. It was made for a much more pleasant experience. However, when we were at Grandma's house, Peyton tried to undress himself for the first time. He was really mad when I wanted to take a picture of him.
Last time Peyton and I were in NV my grandma was in the hospital and never saw Peyton. She hadn't seen him since he was 2 months old. I am so glad that we got to spend time with my grandparents while we were on our trip.
And although I don't have pictures, my best friend Alexandra came over almost every day and we got to take a walk at the Marina-one of my favorite places of all time. I miss my friend and wish we could see each other more often. Chad and I also had pizza with the Singh family. It was fun to see them and their adorable little boy. I can't wait unitl we can get back to Reno again!
