Happy Easter

Our Easter celebrations started on Saturday.  Chad was on call so Peyton and I went to a little Easter Egg Hunt at the church with a few people in our ward.  Was Peyton interested?  NO.   Ages 3 and under got a head start so I lead Peyton to an area that was pretty saturated with eggs but he found himself a nice rock to put in his bucket.  It was the only thing he put in his bucket.  He was much more interested in trekking through the mud and ice. Funny kid.

Easter was pretty low-key at the Watt's house this year.  We had church at 9am so the Easter Bunny didn't visit our home until after Peyton's nap after church.  He hid Peyton's basket and a few plastic eggs around the living room. When Peyton woke up from his nap he was ANGRY.  He wanted nothing to do with egg hunting and Easter baskets until I showed him the chocolate kisses inside the eggs and the cars in the basket.  Peyton also got some bubbles and sidewalk chalk (to use in the event that Winter ever takes a hike), Match Box Cars and the movie Cars 2.

Finally we sat down to a nice dinner of ham, baked potatoes, asparagus, Jell-O salad and rolls.  It was my first attempt at a ham and I think it turned out pretty well!

I am grateful for Easter.  I am grateful for the opportunity we have to really focus on the Atonement.  What a wonderful gift.
