March Part 1
March has been eventful! Oh boy!
On the 4th, Peyton was helping me unload the dishwasher and he slipped and fell on the dishwasher door. He bit the inside of his lip and cut the outside pretty bad. I wasn't sure if it was bad enough for stitches or not. Honestly, I wasn't just being a worried Mom. I called Chad and he had me send him a picture which he sent to our home teacher who is an ENT. He wanted to take a look at it to see of Peyton would need stitches. When I heard the words Peyton and stictches I nearly burst into tears. Thankfully, Peyton didn't need stitches. It seems to be healing nicely.
March this year=SNOW! Uggh! I am over it!! I always try to take care of the snow removal myself and I have an awesome little helper who loves to shovel. Sometimes I get beat to the snow removal though. I have a neighbor who helps me out with a snowblower. It sure beats shoveling.
I did, however, make an attempt at the snowblower myself. We had a pretty heavy snow storm-about a foot of snow. I needed to get the driveway cleared and Peyton was napping so I headed outside. I took one look at the snowblower and picked up the shovel. With shovel in hand I took one look at the deep snow and put the shovel back. I determined to use the snowblower. I overcame my fear and pulled it out. I tried to get it started and it just wasn't working. I called Chad at work who gave me some instruction. I got the snowblower started and took off down the driveway. I got a little ways down and it died so I drug it back into the garage (I have to use the electric starter.) This event took place 3x before I gave up. I felt awful that I failed to clear the snow. After sitting on the couch feeling lazy for a few minutes I geared up and went outside to give the snowblower another go. I failed...it died-again.
When Chad got home the driveway was a mess. Chad headed out to the garage to take care of the snowblowing. He came back in laughing-the snowblower was out of gas. Fabulous. So maybe it wasn't a complete fail afterall. While Daddy was snowblowing Peyton watched at the window and when Chad wasn't in view, Peyton would patiently wait to see Daddy.
I have discovered more than ever this month that Peyton is a Cookie Monster! He always wants cookies and he doesn't let me forget when I tell him he can have one "later". He wakes up from naps saying "Cooka?" He is his father's son for sure. He also loves to wipe his chocolately hands all over his face.
This week was Chad's birthday! 28. Woo! He is getting close to 30-such an old man. Chad requested French Toast for dinner and yellow cake with chocolate frosting. He seemed to have a great day!
Finally, this week was a week of appointments. On Monday I had my 1 hour glucose test, again my blood glucose level was pretty low. They actually wouldn't let me leave until I ate something. Tuesday, I had my 28 week appointment. I measured 24 weeks so they ordered an ultrasound which I had today. Avery is doing great and growing right on schedule; she weighs just over 2 lbs and actually let me see her cute face!
