January Update
January has been exhausting...for everyone. Chad is a month into a pretty intense rotation. He did this same rotation last year only this year it is for 3 months, not 4 weeks. It has been an adjustment. Poor Chad is working crazy hours with a rare day off here and there. Peyton goes days without seeing Daddy and Chad and I see each other for about an hour or so each night. Of course some days are better than others. We're adjusting but we're all pretty worn out, especially Chad. He is gaining a lot of great experience though and pretty excited about some of the surgeries he's gotten to do.
This month, Peyton has discovered letters. He loves letters, I think because of his new bath toys. He sees letters in books and is always pointing, asking what they are. He has also discovered Chad's bones. He really enjoys playing with them. I think orthopods might just run in the family. Peyton is also loving his NV football jersey and wants to wear it everytime he sees it in his closet. This month he learned a new sign-"please", and learned where his ears are. He also discovered tooting in the bathtub. He thinks it is hilarious! He actually tries to do it; I just know that one of these days it's going to end badly if you know what I mean. We really enjoy this guy and he makes us laugh on a daily basis BUT I am sorry to say he has started throwing full blown tantrums. He bites himself, hits me and pulls my hair. We are working on it! Overall, he's a great kid-THE best kid, if you want my opinion.
I am feeling good at 22 weeks pregnant. Avery's movements are getting stronger everyday and Chad even felt her move this month. Per the request of my OB, I am finally gaining weight and I am finally showing. I am getting pretty excited about meeting this little girl.
