September

Oh my goodness!
Is September really already over?  Did it fly by for anyone else?

The past few weeks were a little crazy...I have two words:
Para pertussis

So I started noticing that Peyton was coughing during his naps and then he started coughing at night, so hard that he was waking up.  Then one Sunday night, he coughed so hard he threw up. Then his face was so red and coughed like like I have never heard him cough before.  I was so nervous. The weird thing is that he had no other cold symptoms and he was pretty much ok during the day.  So we just decided to see how things played out.

Well, it got worse.  I was tipped off that is was really getting bad when Chad jumped out of bed after a cough one night. Of course, the night it was really bad Chad was on call- Isn't that always how things play out?  Chad informed me that Peyton had the symptoms of Whooping Cough and I should bring him into our room to monitor for the night.  For Chad to be worried is a big deal so I was freaked out beyond belief!

The next day we went to the Dr.  She did the Pertussis test and sent us home.  She called the next morning to let us know Peyton had Para Pertussis.  I was grateful.  He recieved anti-biotics, but Chad and I didn't have to be treated and we didn't have to be quartentined.  Peyton is still coughing--not bad and is finally getting back to his normal self.

.
On another note, Chad began a new quarter this past week.  Not sure if it's any better.  He loved trauma.  Doesn't love spine so much but it has been better hours.  I would rather have him be doing something he loves though...
I can't believe Peyton is 13 months!
It's cold....I turned on the heat today.
I have been a slacker in the pictures department but then again we haven't been up to much.
So here's what I've got....

Playing in the curtains...

(Emerging from the curtains-so silly)

Peyton decided to empty out all this today in the living room and put himself in the "bucket"

So proud of himself...

Eatin' a cracker, chillin with Dad.  I love these guys!  And I love the way Peyton runs to Chad when he comes home.  I think it's love (could be desperation to get away from Mom.  Haha)

A couple nights later....
Peyton decided to take a "bath" in the toys!  :)

And Peyton got haircut #3 on Sunday!  So handsome.  But  makes him look like such a big boy...not a baby :(

Happy October!

Solo sorry Peyton has been sick. He's growing up so much! He looks like quite a character . I'm sure those two guys love you too. Take care of each other.
