Learn To Laugh
At my previous job, I spent a lot of time scanning. I got tired of listening to the repetitive radio, got sick of the songs on my iPod and decided that during the mundane task of scanning I could do something worthwhile....
I decided to listen to General Conference Cd's.
I remember one particular day scanning away and I heard this talk by Joseph B. Worthlin. There is a section of his talk entitled Learn to Laugh. I remember chuckling to myself as he told family experiences that could have been awful but were made less so by laughing.
{It's a great talk....Read it!!}
Well, DID WE HAVE A MOMENT TODAY!!!
Let's set the stage:
Let's set the stage:
Peyton 1/2 hour morning nap, 1 1/2 hour afternoon nap, refused to take a much needed little catnap
Chad running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep (Work)
Amanda 4 1/2 hours of sleep (Thank you water softener)
Dinner time....
Peyton has had an aversion to the high chair lately. He was already sad because of his sleep deprivation and when he bawled in the highchair I decided just to hold and feed him.
On the menu??? Peas & Rice
I had a spoonful of peas ready to go in the mouth when whap! Peyton blatantly swatted it away.
Peas went all over my shirt, on the chair, Peyton was screaming and a frustrated Chad went to get a rag to clean up. When he came back I just busted up laughing! I could not stop! Chad was confused and definitely not amused. I told him to go look in the mirror.
PEAS on his FOREHEAD! Hahahaha...
Maybe it wasn't that funny but through the frustration I could do nothing but laugh!
It will definately be a memorable experience.
So.....
"The next time you’re tempted to groan, you might try to laugh instead. It will extend your life and make the lives of all those around you more enjoyable."

Peyton ended up successfully eating sweet potatoes and rice and conked out at 6:15 eek!
