Thankful Tree

This year I decided I was going to make a Thankful Tree.
I cut out-by hand- 75 leaves (one for each member of our family).
1 leaf for each day leading up to Thanksgiving.
I even started making my own tree...which I will laminate for reuse once it's done.

But with our vacation at the beginning of November,
the extention of my vacation,
&
the craziness of getting ready for the trip
I didn't finish my tree. :( But I told Chad we should still record our 25 things to be thankful for.  (Obviously we haven't done that yet...I'm starting NOW)

I'm GRATEFUL for...
DAY 1: Transportation...We got to fly to Idaho and fly to Nevada.  It's amazing that we can get from here to there so incredibly fast.
DAY 2: Modern medicine.  Not only does medicine provide our income but look what amazing things doctors can do these days.  Jeff had double knee surgery and Jordyn...what a miracle!
DAY 3: Family.  We have the best families!!! Even though we are far away, I feel so close to our families.
DAY 4: Friends.  I got to see one of my best friends for the first time in 5 months (too long!)  I have made great friends in Rochester and get to reunite with friends in Sparks.  Life is so much better with good people in it.
DAY 5: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  I'm so grateful for my religious upbringing and that I was able to gain a testimony for myself.  As corny as it sounds...I truely do not know what my life would be without this amazing gift in my life.
DAY 6:  Jobs.  As hard and difficult Chad's job is both for him and Peyton and me, we are so lucky to have a stable income.  I'm so grateful Chad had such aspirations, and motivation to lead a successful professional life...we are truely blessed.
DAY 7: CHAD!!! (He probably should have come sooner on my list---these are in no particular order) With day 7 being the anniversary of our first date I waited...Chad's AMAZING!!  We have such a wonderful relaltionship and I couldn't be any HAPPIER...Love you babe!
DAY 8: PEYTON!!! I still can't believe I'm a mom.  I love my litte guy so much.  He's difficult.  I never knew being a mom could be so hard but so rewarding at the same time.  Even with all of our challenges, I'm grateful he's healthy, he's happy and most of all that he is mine (and Chad's too)
