Temple Trials
Chad keeps telling me to update the blog (wonder why he doesn't do it???) but I can't ever think of anything to write. Nothing exciting has really been happening if you couldn't tell from our last post. So I guess I will tell of our recent experience.
They always say when you are going to the temple things come up that make it difficult to go. Chad and I have never really found this to be the case until 2 weeks ago. Up until about a month and a half ago Chad and I were pretty good at attending the temple regularly. It became Friday Night Date Night. But as life often does, things got busy, family came to town, we were out of town, Chad was gone and every other excuse in the book kept us from going.
Anyway, last Tuesday we decided we were going to go no matter what! Chad made the appointment, we went out to dinner came home to get ready and I couldn't find my temple recommend anywhere! We searched the house, the cars, everywhere we could think of and decided it was a lost cause. The next night I called the Bishopric to get and interview to get a new recommend. This week, I called and made an appointment with the stake presidency 9:15pm (just before bed time!) I decided to take it. About 2 hours before the interview my sister called and offered floor seat tickets to the Nevada game. It was a tough decision but we turned it down and I went and had my interview. Friday rolls around and I do not feel well at ALL! But we made the appointment and off we went. It was so great to be back and hopefully we will be blessed for going. STOP reading here if you don't want to be grossed out.----Driving home from the temple Chad had to pull over so I could get some fresh air and talk myself out of vomiting on the side of the road and when we got home...I was SICK!!
AND it only gets better...today I found my temple recommend sitting in PLAIN SIGHT on a shelf by the bed! I guess we needed to be tested a bit!
